Too often people are baffled, frustrated, or shamed in their interactions with the healthcare system, partly because health information is too hard to understand or use. I believe that health information should empower people, whether they are interacting with healthcare providers or engaging in self-care.
In addition to developing, evaluating, and revising patient-facing educational materials, I provide training in health literacy concepts and best practices.
